Late Shri Satyanarayan Sagarmal ji Mody

 Late Shri Satyanarayan Sagarmal Ji Mody, fondly known as “Kakosha,” was a visionary philanthropist, industrialist, and a true son of Shekhawati, Rajasthan. Born on 13th October 1925, he began his educational journey in Jhunjhunu and later pursued his schooling in Mumbai. After completing his education, he devoted himself to his father’s textile business, demonstrating exceptional business acumen. Under his leadership, the business experienced an impressive fourfold growth in the yarn and textile sectors.

Despite his success in the business world, Shri Satyanarayan Ji Mody always believed in giving back to society. His commitment to social welfare and charitable works was unwavering. He made substantial contributions to education, healthcare, and infrastructure, benefiting countless individuals across India. Some of his significant contributions include:

• S.S. Mody Vidya Vihar: In 1999, he established the S.S. Mody Vidya Vihar in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, fulfilling his dream of providing quality education to the people of his birthplace.
• Donations to Educational Institutions: He generously donated a hostel in the name of Malviya Ji at BHU, Varanasi and funded the construction of a hall there. He also built a modern school in Nasik, Maharashtra, which was later donated to the Government of Maharashtra and serves over 10,000 students today.
• Charitable Contributions: He donated classrooms to G.B. Modi Vidya Mandir, Adarsh Bal Niketan, and Keshav Aadarsh, along with several other charitable institutions. His philanthropic efforts extended to the construction of Dharamsalas in prominent holy locations such as Badrinath, Kedarnath, Udaipur, and Jaipur.
• Medical Camps: Shri Mody organized annual medical camps, where specialist doctors provided free services to the underprivileged. He personally served the people in these camps, displaying his humility and deep concern for the welfare of the poor and suffering.

Shri Satyanarayan Ji Mody’s personality was defined by his simplicity, compassion, and selflessness. He never sought recognition for his charity, and his wealth was used solely to uplift society. He was a true humanitarian who dedicated his life to the service of others, always prioritizing the needs of the less fortunate.

His legacy lives on in the institutions he built and the countless lives he touched. On 8th June 2000, the truest son of Shekhawati left for his final abode, but his contributions to society will forever remain a beacon of inspiration.

A life dedicated to service, a legacy of selfless giving – Shri Satyanarayan Ji Mody, Kakosha, will always be remembered with gratitude and reverence.
